It's Doesn't Take Money!

So many people feel that giving to others takes a lot of time and money.  It doesn’t!

It's our goal at ThinkThoughtful.com to empower you to give to others, inspire them, uplift the people around you and make others feel special – while not spending a lot of money!  You can change someone’s life and touch their heart with one small act of kindness.

Here are some examples:

 

• Oprah has mentioned that one of her favorite gifts was a bowl of lemons from her new neighbor.  Oprah can afford lemons and her neighbor could afford a plush gift – but it wasn’t necessary, because Oprah felt her neighbor’s intentions; to make her feel welcomed to the neighborhood.

• As our President, Rhonda Grote says, “You always remember the person who helps you move, but you often forget what your friend bought for your birthday four years ago.”  People appreciate your thoughtfulness, not just the item you buy them, which is why we are here to teach others how to give affordably and thoughtfully.  All of the items we sell in our online store are under $50 and we have affordable giving services to empower you to always give big and Think Thoughtful.

• Do you want to give back to your community, but you don't know what group to join or how to start?  We have the answer!  Look in your frig for food or fruit that you can tell you're not going to use or eat - or make a sandwich - and call a friend to go to the park with you.  There often will be nice homeless people living in the park that you can feed.

• Instead of spending time searching for a toy for a child (who already may have too many) think about checking out a book from the library and reading it with them.  If you wanted to spend money you could buy an encouraging book and spend some time reading it with them.  We have a great book that includes a treat in our thoughtful online store. • Have you ever thought of writing a letter instead of buying an expensive pre-printed card with flowery wording? Our President, Rhonda Grote, is known for giving no-cost cards - she calls them "verbal cards" and she only gives them to very special people.  Trust us, we also believe in giving items, but they have to be thoughtful.  All to say, we are here to provide ideas where you can give big, pay it forward and Think Thoughtful while spending no-to-little money.

 

There are so many acts of kindess you can pay forward to someone else - that don't cost any money.  More so, by giving thrifty, you will be teaching your recipient how to do so as well.
