So many people give without thinking it through.  Here are some of the latest giving mistakes that we have discovered:

Procrastinating to give later!  

The charity has mailed you...you saw their ad on TV...you made a note to donate.  No matter your good intentions - it doesn't matter unless you take action!

 

Picture frames are one of the top re-gifted gifts!  

No matter what you may say (as we know so many people love to give picture frames) – a picture frame is one of the top items re-gifted.  Reports indicate the frames are re-gifted, because most people don’t consider the recipient’s taste.  When you buy a picture frame for someone – you should find out how they decorate their house or office!

 

 

Hold off on the holders!

Men share that they aren’t impressed with “holders” as a gift.  They want something fun, exciting and interesting.  So while holders are useful, you need to insert a great gift into the holder or choose a gift that will show your thoughtfulness and spoil him!

 

 

Kill the keychain!  

Why give a keychain? THEY ALREADY HAVE ONE! There is only one good situation to give a keychain and that’s when someone has purchased or recieved a new car!

 

 

Table the cloth: 

Before you pick out a tablecloth that you like and is on sale, be sure to think of their taste.  Will they even use that On Sale table cloth that you like?

 

 

They know what's at the grocery store!
Unless they are really hurting financially – they won’t be touched by your “spa” gift basket from the grocery store with the typical so/so products that smell odd.

 

Be a smart smeller! 

If you are going to buy bath products, be sure of the fragrances they like.  We took a survey and found that many people have scents they hate!
